Ideas for our music video

We have chosen to do a music video for Ladykiller by The Saturdays.

  • We have decided to create a storyline that continues throughout the whole video to keep the audience interested.
  • To help the audience with the storyline, we are planning on filming an introduction that will be played before the music begins. For this, we are basing it on a dinner party with two boys and two girls. The girls then get bored and ask to go to the toilet. For this introduction, we are unsure as to whether there will be silence or a simple classical track playing during it but will try both and see which works better later on when we begin editing our footage.
  • As the girls head into the toilet where they will be gussying up, applying make-up and putting on heels, the track will begin playing. We plan to keep cutting from the shots of the girls in the bathroom, to the shots of the boys sitting at the dinner table, looking confused and at their watches.
  • After short and snappy shots between the girls getting ready, lip-syncing and the boys looking confused, there will be a shot of the girls climbing out of the window followed by a shot of the boys opening the door and looking for the girls.
  • We then plan to film in locations around town at night where there will be various areas we can film around. We are going to film a variety of shot types of us running.
  • The boys will be chasing the girls and along the way they will trip and fall along the way, ending up with cuts, bruises and torn shirts.
